AUCTION ITEM: Four tickets to “Jersey Boys” on Broadway
A runaway hit, Jersey Boys is playing at the August Wilson Theatre at 245 West 52nd Street.
The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons—Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito & Nick Massi—the show tells the story of a group of blue-collar youths from the wrong side of the tracks who became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were thirty.
Jersey Boys opened on Broadway to critical acclaim in November, 2005. The National Tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco on December 1, 2006, and there are seven current productions in New York, London, Chicago, Las Vegas, Toronto, and Melbourne, Australia.
The four tickets will be auctioned as one lot. You can find out more about JB at the show’s official website.
AUCTION ITEM: Beautiful Wooden Bowl by Mike Brenner
Mike Brenner has donated this beautiful 21-inch-long wooden bowl to our auction on Saturday, August 28.
Mike says, “This bowl is a piece of solid cherry. When choosing a block of wood for a bowl, wetting with alcohol helps to give an indication of the grain pattern in the wood. The base is black walnut, chosen for the contrast. Four coats of hand rubbed oil, with a final coat of wax, provides the finish.”
